Ever since founding Almagea, we have wanted to standardise the way we do business to ensure continuous improvement, to grow and develop steadily and become better every year. Entering the tenth year of business, we have introduced the ISO 9001 standard for quality management systems and ISO 14001 for environmental management systems.
With these certificates, we have strengthened the ties with our business partners and customers and solidified our position on the market, and made sure that the quality of our service and products remains the same. An important aspect of our business is related to the preservation of nature and living in harmony with it, which motivated us to certify this side of our business and continue to care about the future of the environment even more. With all this, we promised to ourselves, but also our stakeholders, that we shall regard quality as our topmost priority.
ISO 9001 is the fundamental management system, applicable in every organisation, which contributes to the improvement of its overall performance and provides a solid foundation for sustainable development initiatives and upgrades of other management systems. This global business organisation standard has been adopted by over 100 countries and is based on a process approach, which includes a Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle (PDCA) and risk-based thinking. A process approach allows an organisation to carefully plan its processes and their interactions.
ISO 14001 provides an overall framework for environmental management and integrates that framework within the overall business management activity. ISO 14001 instructs the company on how to establish a disciplined system for achieving defined environmental goals pursuant to the relevant legislation, how to function in accordance with defined policies and procedures, and how to conduct assessments to ensure full compliance and continuous improvement. ISO 14001 acknowledges that all management systems, be they safety, quality or environmental management systems, must provide a defined and organized approach to relevant activities, while meeting business needs at all levels.
